Which forms of payment to you accept?
We accept cash, credit (Visa, MasterCard and AmEx), debit and email money transfers. For email money transfers our email address is kalexltd@hotmail.com.
Is the edge of the sign straight or routered?
Every sign comes with a routered edge unless specifically requested not to have the edge routered.
What type of wood do you use?
Our signs and games are made on solid maple unless otherwise requested. It is a durable, solid and quality product with a beautiful look and can be stained a wide variety of colors. Cutting boards are made with either maple, walnut or cherry wood, or combinations of these species.
Where are you located?
We are no longer located in Fort McMurray after losing everything to the 2016 wildfire. We are now located in Stony Plain, Alberta.
Which stain colors do you have available?
Games that are ready to go are made in espresso, ebony or red mahogany stain. Our current stain colors for custom orders include: golden oak, cherry, classic grey, gunstock, english chestnut, special walnut, provincial, red chestnut, red oak, red mahogany, dark walnut, espresso and ebony. Please note that any of our stains can also be done in the rustic style (dark carving, lighter background).
Can my sign go outside?
If you are ordering a sign that is going to be displayed outside, please let us know and it will have an exterior grade finish applied. As with any exterior wooden product, please ensure you are refinishing it as often as necessary to keep it looking new.
How many hooks are in a keychain holder?
Our standard amount of hooks on our keychain holders is 5 however if you would like to add or subtract the amount of hooks please let us know.
Do the signs come with hooks to hang them?
Each sign that is purchased has 2 eyelet hooks provided. To attach the hooks on the sign, drill pilot holes first to prevent splitting of the wood, or breaking of the screws, and then screw in the eyelet hooks.
Do you make cutting boards?
Yes! Our cutting boards are made of various types of hardwoods, primarily maple, cherry and walnut. The cutting boards are carved and filled with a food-safe resin giving a very cool 3D effect. They are finished with Boos Mystery Oil and Board Cream.
Which type of finish is used on your cutting boards?
Our cutting boards are finished with Boos Mystery Oil and Board Cream. These products are available on Amazon or through the John Boos website.
Are the cutting boards dishwasher safe?
Wooden cutting boards are NOT dishwasher safe and should NOT be submerged in water. If they are put in a dishwasher or submerged they will come apart. Clean your board with warm, soapy water and dry immediately. Do not store when wet or damp. If you notice that your board is starting to cup, flip the board over and it will flatten. Use both sides of your board to help prevent cupping.
Do you engrave cutting boards?
Yes! Our engraved cutting boards are carved and filled with a food-safe resin so it is perfectly smooth. Cutting boards should not have any grooves on them where food and bacteria can get caught, which is why we fill the carving. The resin also gives the carving a 3D effect and it is quite an interesting product!
Can you carve photographs of people?
At this time we do not have the proper program to be able to carve faces into our signs with precision. We have successfully designed and custom carved pets, houses, cabins, trucks, and cars.
When can I order a product?
Our business hours are 10am-8pm from Monday to Friday and 12pm-4pm on Saturday. Sundays we are closed. Orders are ready for pick up or shipping approximately 2-3 weeks from the time the order is confirmed. You will be contacted once the product is ready for pick up or shipping.
Do you have a pick up location or do you deliver?
Pick up is in Stony Plain, AB. We do not deliver but we ship anywhere in North America.
Do you ship any of your products?
Shipping is available anywhere in North America. We choose to ship through Canada Post. We will do our best to group products into one package when you order.
Do you have gift cards or certificates?
Yes we have gift certificates available for purchase.
Do you purchase your tools and materials in Alberta?

Do you make cribbage boards?
Yes! We make custom designed cribbage boards. They can be a custom shape, size, and/or have a custom design in the center.
Do the cribbage boards come with pegs?
The price we will quote you will include the deck of playing cards and 6 metal cribbage pegs. The pegs that we supply are 1/8" and you will receive 2 of each color. The colors we have are black, silver, brass and copper.
